WHO IS JAMIE?
Jamie McCarty is an award-winning producer, writer, and digital media strategist.
He began his career at ABC News as a desk assistant for Robin Roberts and went on to ESPN where he helped launch two of ESPN’s most successful shows: SportsCenter AM and SportsNation. After ESPN, he went on to launch TMZ Sports for Telepictures Productions in Los Angeles.
McCarty returned to New York as a writer & producer for Good Morning America. During his tenure at GMA, not only did he help show become the #1 morning show on television, he was given multiple honors including an Emmy, two Peabody Awards, and two Edward R. Murrow awards.
He left traditional television to lend his expertise to the expanding digital media universe. McCarty ran the homepage for the New York Post and Page Six, then moved to The Huffington Post where he supervised livestream production at HuffPost Live. Additionally, has developed new programming for Facebook Live, YouTube & YouNow.
Most recently, he developed new programming for NBC News’ new OTT streaming network, Signal. In this role, wrote and produced the networks flagship broadcast Signal Tonight, created NBC News Briefly and produced digital specials for NBCNews.com.
